On the morning of 21st September 2017, Keith Richards delivered a keynote address on PRINCE2 Agile to a project management conference in Prague, Czech Republic. Here are the slides.
The presentation lasted about 50 minutes and was delivered to 240 project managers. The majority (approx. 85-90%) of attendees raised their hand when asked if they were familiar with PRINCE2. There were also some people with familiarity to PMI. The discussion afterwards about PRINCE2 Agile was very interesting. Many people felt that it was a very natural combination if it was carried out correctly. That is to say that the advantages of PRINCE2 were used along with the advantages of agile.
One common piece of feedback about PRINCE2 Agile was the surprise that agile was always a question of 'how much' or 'how little' as opposed a question of 'yes or no'. When using agile in a project context, with or without PRINCE2, it should never be a 'binary' choice.
