What is Agile methodology in PM?

Agile methodology in project management splits projects into fixed time periods known as sprints. Agile project management values flexibility and collaboration, built on core Agile principles. Work planning only extends to the conclusion of the upcoming sprint, ranging from 1 to 4 weeks, allowing for quick adaptations to new conditions.

Agile project management differs from the traditional 'waterfall' method, where planning is upfront with linear phases. Each phase advances only after meeting specific conditions, making it harder to respond promptly to changes compared to Agile.
