What is the role of a business analyst in Agile vs waterfall?

The role of a business analyst in Agile is quite different from that in Waterfall. In Waterfall, business analysts traditionally collect requirements early on and serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and developers during the project. However, in Agile, they adopt a more iterative approach, frequently working with the development team to continuously refine requirements and align them with stakeholder expectations.

In Agile settings, business analysts must be flexible, delivering value with ongoing analysis and feedback across each sprint or iteration.
