PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner (with the lead author)
This PRINCE2 Agile® training course is led by Keith Richards, PRINCE2 Agile® Lead Author and Chief Examiner for AXELOS. It covers the new qualification from AXELOS which represents an extension to PRINCE2®. PRINCE2 Agile was created by bringing together two different ways of working that combined the flexibility and responsiveness of agile with the clearly defined framework of PRINCE2.
PRINCE2 Agile addresses the needs of project managers working in Agile environments, as well as the needs of Agile teams looking for more governance and control when their work becomes larger and more complex. Such as it does, when working on projects.
Using both practical exercises and theory, this course is designed to teach delegates how to use PRINCE2 in an agile context. The course ends with an exam that allows you to achieve PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner status.
During this course, you will learn how to tailor PRINCE2 to work in the best way possible in an agile context. This course explores how to combine the principles, processes and themes of PRINCE2 with many of the common ways of working when using agile. It examines how to configure PRINCE2 for different situations and how to incorporate the agile frameworks, behaviours, concepts and techniques in the best way possible to increase the chances of successful project delivery.
If you have passed any PRINCE2 exam, this course will build on your existing knowledge and make your PRINCE2 much more versatile and relevant.
Who will benefit from this PRINCE2 Agile training course?
This course is beneficial for those with any experience of PRINCE2 who want to learn more about how and why they should adopt agile approaches.
As there is minimal time spent on recapping PRINCE2, we recommend that you should (re-) familiarise yourself with the basics of PRINCE2 before attending this course. This course builds on the candidates existing PRINCE2 knowledge, and therefore out of date knowledge or gaps understanding will put you at a slight disadvantage.
To take the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exam, you must hold one of the following:
- PRINCE2 Foundation
- PRINCE2 Practitioner
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
- IPMA Levels A, B, C, or D (Certified Projects Director)
Duration and Location:
3-day non-residential, London courses are held at Grosvenor Place, London SW1 (near Hyde Park Corner tube and 10 minutes from Victoria Station)
Practitioner exam on the afternoon of day 3.
