Agile Project Management Awareness (AgilePMA)

1 day

Course Overview

In 2011, APMG and the DSDM Consortium launched a new course called Agile Project Management (AgilePM®).  This new course was based on DSDM, which is a framework that has been in existence since 1995 and has always been at the forefront of agile thinking in the project domain.

It could be said that DSDM has become more relevant today than it has ever been, as the need to deliver something of value as early as possible, has become an essential competency for all organisations.

This one day course provides an overview of Agile Project Management (AgilePM/DSDM) by describing the core elements of the framework.

Course Objectives

The course will give delegates a good understanding of how to use agile behaviours, concepts and techniques on projects and at scale.  Agile has grown rapidly in recent years and is now 'mainstream' but a lot of the success of agile is with small, co-located teams.

This course shows you how you can be agile at a larger scale by wrapping agile project management disciplines around the delivery aspects of agile.  This allows you to 'be agile' in more complex environments where stricter governance or compliance is needed such as it is with most large organisations today.
