PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner course

3 days

Course Overview

This course covers the new qualification from AXELOS which represents an extension to PRINCE2®. The course is equally divided between practical exercises and theory as it examines how to use PRINCE2 in an agile context. The course ends with an exam that allows you to achieve PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner status.

Course Objective

The PRINCE2 Agile course explains to delegates how to tailor PRINCE2 to work in the best way possible in an agile context. It looks at how to blend and weave the principles, processes and themes of PRINCE2 with many of the common ways of working in an agile way. It examines how to configure PRINCE2 when in different situations and how to incorporate the agile frameworks, behaviours, concepts and techniques in the best way possible to increase the chances of successful project delivery.

Delegates must hold a current PRINCE2 Foundation certificate.

Who is the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner course suitable for?

There is very little time spent on recapping PRINCE2 and therefore out of date knowledge or gaps in understanding of PRINCE2 will put the delegate at a disadvantage as PRINCE2 Agile builds on the candidates existing PRINCE2 knowledge.

Is this an accredited course?

Yes. PRINCE2 Agile is accredited by AXELOS.

What is the exam structure?

The PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exam is a 2 1⁄2 hour, open book, objective testing style exam (OTE, which basically means complex multiple choice). The exam is taken during the afternoon of the third day and you are permitted to use your PRINCE2 Agile Manual during the exam. The exam is structured using 5 questions with a total of 50 marks. On passing this exam, participants will become certified as a PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner.

Is there any pre-course reading?

agileKRC recommends that approximately 5 hours of pre-course reading would be beneficial and will give a delegate a good level of understanding in order to complete the course in the best possible way.

What does my course cost cover?

Your course cost covers all course materials, which includes a printed copy of the PowerPoint slides, exercises and case study; your copy of the PRINCE2 Agile Manual; all applicable exam fees; your lunches and refreshments whilst on the course and your e-certificate upon successful completion of the course. We are also happy to provide you with an attendance certificate if required too. There are no further costs to pay.

When will I get my joining instructions and pre-course reading material?

Joining instructions and the PRINCE2 Agile Manual are sent out approximately 2 weeks before a training course starts. You can request these earlier, however you will need to have confirmed your booking.
